Dr. Dinesh Parikh had to run for 100 kilometers to save his mother because proper facilities were not available in his hometown - IDAR. Self-experience of an agony of helplessness awakened the dormant feelings to be a bridge between Scarcity & Abundance, Needy & Affluent & serve the un-served. Dr. Dinesh started AtmaVallabh Hospital in rented premises on 06-02-1991 in IDAR.

His just retired parents donated their gratuity & provident fund money for it. It was dedicated to Vijay Vallabhsurji, founder of Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya, an institute which had given financial aid (loan) to him to be a doctor.
